The ship was built three-storey high and it was gifted by Nawab of Bahawalpur to renowned Sufi saint of Kot Mithan Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Fareed in 1917 and the vessel remained engaged in transporting as many as 500 Zaireen to and from Chachraan Sharif and Kot Mithan Sharif to attend the urs of the saint in Kot Mithan Sharif where the mausoleum of the saint is located.
The ship was docked at the bank of the River Indus after the mighty ship caught fire in 1992.
