PDMA issues heavy rain alert for Karachi
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued an alert about heavy downpour and thunderstorms in different parts of Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV Tuesday.
The Meteorological Department has also warned of the risk of urban flooding due to drencher as a result all local bodies and district administration has been directed to remain alert.
According to the Meteorological Department, the effects of Hurricane Rose, which hit India, are still there.
Low air pressure in the Arabian Sea can change into depression, due to which, there is a probability of torrential rain in the city. It can cause flooding in low-lying areas.
Meteorological Department (PMD) has warned the fishermen of Karachi not to venture into the open sea from 30 September to 3 October.
