A decision has been taken to continue Miftah Ismail as Federal Minister without giving him any portfolio, 24News HD TV Channel reported on Wednesday.

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader and financial expert Miftah Ismail has resigned from the post of Finance and Revenue Minister today (Wednesday).

After the decision of remaining Miftah a part of PM Shehbaz Sharif’s cabinet, the total strength of the federal cabinet has increased to 74.

According to sources, an unelected person can stay in the post of federal minister for a maximum of 6 months and Miftah Ismail's term of 6 months to be completed on 18 October 2022.
