UN chief in contact with Pakistan on efforts to end US-Iran war

The spokesperson for UN Secretary General Antonio Gutteres has said that he has been in touch with Pakistani officials to assist efforts to end the US-Iran conflict, reported Al Jazeera on Tuesday.
Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric has praised Pakistan’s role in the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding signed by the US and Iran in June to cease hostilities, deeming it “a great achievement”.
He tells a media conference that re-engaging in talks will help end the conflict between Washington and Tehran.
