Missing chairman candidate found dead in Gujranwala

The body of a candidate for chairman was found in a canal in Gujranwala, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Tuesday.

Imran Shaukat went missing three days ago and it was believed that he was kidnapped.

The body was recovered from the Upper Chenab canal. 

He was laid to rest at a local graveyard. 

Senior police officials and local notables attended his funeral.
