FIA to launch e-immigration to facilitate travellers

After the directives from Minister of Interior Mohsin Naqvi, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has decided to introduce an e-immigration app to facilitate travellers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Through this app, a passenger will be able to obtain all necessary information about his travel documents, and the Federal Investigation Agency will scrutinize all the documents of passengers.

The usage of the app will allow the passenger to know his or her eligibility for travelling. In case of any inquiry, the passenger will be informed through this app.

The eligible traveller will be provided a QR Code. When the passenger enters the airport premises his entire data will be available in the immigration system.

The app will complete all the clearance and other necessary procedures smoothly. The e-app is being introduced to obtain first-hand information about the passengers and for risk profiling.

The working of this app is in its final stages, and the immigration process in Pakistan will be digitized through the introduction of this app.

Officials believe that this app will not only provide facilities to passenger but will help to ensure completion of immigration process smoothly.
