Three accused sent to Adiala Jail over flamingo poaching at Rawal Dam

Three people accused of illegally hunting flamingos at Rawal Dam have been sent to Adiala Jail for three months, officials said.

The Islamabad district administration took action after reports of illegal flamingo hunting at the dam and registered a case over the incident.

The Assistant Commissioner Secretariat ordered the three accused to be jailed for three months.

The accused were also fined Rs50,000 for the illegal hunting of flamingos.

Officials said the Deputy Director Fisheries had earlier submitted a formal complaint to the relevant police station, prompting legal action against those allegedly involved in the poaching incident.
