Two girls among three killed for ‘honour’
Another three dead over property dispute in Dijkot area of Faisalabad

There is no honour in honour killings but more and more people are falling prey to this barbaric tradition, as three persons, including a newly-married couple, were killed in Rawalpindi and Islamabad in separate incidents, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
On the other hand, an uncle and his nephew were among the three people killed in exchange of fire over a property dispute in Faisalabad, said a private TV channel.
In the first incident, a couple, who had resorted to court marriage on April 25 after falling in love, were shot dead in the Nasir Colony area of Rawalpindi. The victims belonged to Kohat and Nowshera.
According to police, the killings were carried out by the family member of the girl, Sidra, after inviting the couple to their home.
Meanwhile, the mode of killing a 20-year-old girl at Charah Kaliah within the Nilore Police Station’s precincts in Islamabad was also the same.
The girl had married a boy – Ali, a resident of Aarrah – of her choice. As a result, she had been asked by her parents to visit but was later killed by them.
Separately, three people were killed in the Dijkot area of Faisalabad for property as two sides exchanged fire.
The private TV channel reported that a nephew had dispute with his uncle over the possession of a shop. However, the identities of the two parties were not shared so far.
Both uncle and nephew as well as one of their employees were among the dead.
