Intermediate student girl apprehended for leaking Botany paper in Karachi

In a swift action, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education caught a girl student of the 12th class for leaking the botany subject paper in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Wednesday.
The incident took place in Government Degree College, Konkar Village, in Gadap Town of Karachi, just half an hour after the start of the paper.
A spokesman for the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Karachi said that the candidate leaked the paper through a mobile phone.
The spokesman further stated that after taking notice, the identification process of the examination was conducted through watermarks.
The vigilance officer Hina Shaikh recovered the mobile phone in a timely action and registered a case against the girl student.
Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Chairman Faqir Mohammad Lakho said that the board adopted a zero-tolerance policy against cheating; anyone who is found involved in such a practice will be dealt with iron hands.
Earlier, the paper for the botany subject was leaked as the annual examinations of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Karachi started today.
The paper was leaked on social media, and later, a solved paper of the same subject surfaced on WhatsApp groups.

The intermediate examinations being held as per the new policy, according to which a paper of 30 pages will be taken in the duration of three hours.

A copy comprising twenty pages will be provided to candidates for a two-hour paper. A digital Attendance Monitoring System is introduced for current intermediate examinations.

The intermediate examinations of the Karachi board will be held in phases.

The BIEK advised candidates who do not receive their admit cards by April 25 to obtain duplicate copies from the relevant section at the board office.

Officials said candidates seeking duplicate admit cards must present their examination form and fee payment receipt, registration card, or proof of registration submission, along with a photocopy of their matriculation marks sheet.
