Pakistan processes first TIR export to Kyrgyzstan

Pakistan has started exports to Central Asian countries through Sost border as Pakistan Customs processed first TIR export to Kyrgyzstan from Export Processing Zone Karachi. Pakistan Customs has successfully processed the first export consignment from Karachi to Kyrgyzstan under the TIR system, opening up the land route to Central Asia through the Sout Border Chain.

Customs officials said the consignment was cleared electronically through the Pakistan Single Window system after the EPZ was activated as a TIR station.
