District courts to reopen in Islamabad after six months

The Crisis Management Committee (CMC) of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has decided to reopen the district courts from September 1, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

The district courts are being reopened after a gap of about six and a half months.

Islamabad District and Sessions Court has issued a notification regarding the decision of the CMC, the TV channel reported.

It is pertinent to note that Islamabad district courts were closed on March 18 amid coronavirus spread. Now, from September 1, district courts would be reopened with SOPs.

As per the notification, it has been directed to all judicial staff to make sure their attendance from September 1.
