Police officer shot dead while having dinner in Karachi
Assistant Sub-Inspector (AS) Akram Khan along with a friend was having dinner at a hotel in Pakistan Bazaar of Karachi’s Orangi Town when armed men appeared on the scene and shot him dead.
The unidentified attackers also fired some shots at the ASI’s friend but he escaped any injury.
Akram Khan was performing his duty in the investigation department of the Manghopir Police Station.
Police obtained the CCTV footage of the incident and another video in which the gunmen were captured feeling the scene.
According to the post-mortem report, Akram Khan who belonged to Mansehra District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, received two bullets. The body had been sent to his ancestral town.
Police said the incident appeared to be a targeted killing. However, they found eight bullet shells and collected other evidence from the crime scene and started an investigation.
