Security guards of Senator Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) on Monday allegedly opened fire on a Levies checkpoint in the Kharcha area in Barkhan District when three personnel were on duty there. 

According to Levies personnel who wished not to be named, Bugti reached the checkpoint along with his security guards and asked the personnel to shut it down, but they refused. In reaction, his security guards opened fire on the check point. 

The naib tehsildar in the area registered a case against Bugti and his security guards on the complaint of Levies personnel. The Levies personnel at the scene said that Bugti also hurled abuses at them when they refused to remove the checkpoint on his orders.
