In a possible major setback to the ruling PTI before the Senate polls, two party lawmakers from Sindh have decided to change their loyalties and join the PPP, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
According to an exclusive report, this planned move by the two Sindh Assembly members – Aslam Abro and Shahar Yar Shar – is a result of their disappointment with the party policies.
But this switch to the PPP is not unconditional as they have demanded that the party would have to give them tickets for the by-elections. Abro was elected from PS-1, Jacobabad-I and Shar from PS-18, Ghotki-I in the 2018 general elections.
However, the PPP has decided to present the condition before the top leadership for consideration, which will make a decision on whether to welcome them to the party.
In this connection, Nisar Khuhro – the provincial head of PPP – said one had to first become a worker in the PPP, adding that only a party worker would become a leader.
