Pakistani authorities shut down the Torkham border on Wednesday morning.

Attaullah Khogyani, a provincial spokesperson for the eastern Afghan province of Nangarhar confirmed the border closure by the Pakistani security forces.

The reason for the border closure is unknown yet. Torkham is an important border for Afghanistan business transits that come through Karachi port.
