Punjab govt announces scholarship programme for non-Muslim students

The Punjab government on Friday announced scholarship programme for thousands of non-Muslim students of the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Under the programme, students enrolled in PhD and MPhil programmes will be given Rs50, 000 in stipend while those doing masters and MSc will receive Rs35,000 by the provincial government.  

Similarly, those doing graduation and BSc will get Rs30,000 in stipend, while those doing intermediate and matriculation Rs20,000 and Rs15,000, respectively.

The students securing 50 percent marks, in their last examination will be entitled to stipends under the programme. 

Besides that, total income of the entire family of the applicant should be less than Rs35,000.   

The aspiring students were asked to submit their applications to the Department of Human and Minorities Affairs by September 29, 2022, adding that no application would be entertained after the due date.
