Man kills father over property dispute in Faisalabad
A man killed his father in the jurisdiction of Balochni police station in Faisalabad over a property dispute on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to reports, Gulzar was adamant that ancestral land should be divided among the heirs.
However, his father Sarwar was opposed to the idea.
This enraged Gulzar who shot his father dead and fled.
The deceased’s body was shifted to a hospital’s mortuary, while police launched a manhunt for the arrest of Gulzar.
On Tuesday, police arrested a man for allegedly murdering his father, who had recently returned from Germany, over a property dispute in the Mubarakpura area of Sialkot. According to the police, Hamza allegedly shot dead his father, Tanveer Ahmed, stuffed the body into a sack and dumped it in a drain near Sahu Wala.
Following a complaint by Qadeer Ahmed, police recovered the body and registered an FIR under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Police spokesperson Inayat confirmed the arrest of the accused.
