The Board of Governors (BoG) of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has announced cut in the pensions of some of its retired employees, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Sources told 24News that the pensions of retired additional directors of Executive Group-7 had been slashed by Rs30, 000 on the recommendation of Director General
They further said that on the other hand the affected ex-employees had argued that no cut was allowed under the rules and that they would challenge the CAA management’s decision in the court.
Sources further revealed that Director HR Muhammad Nawaz Khan had issued the notification of cut in pensions four days back, on June 25, which would take effect from March 2022.
However, despite documentary evidence, the CAA spokesman has denied that the Authority has taken any such decision. “No cut in pensions has been announced by the CAA,” he clarified.
