Renowned journalist Ziauddin passes away

Renowned senior journalist Muhammad Ziauddin has passed away in Islamabad on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Muhammad Zia worked as editor of daily Dawn and The News. Currently, he was working as a column writer for the Express Tribune.
He was 83-year-old. He was associated with print media for 60 years.
His funeral prayer will be held after Asr in the cemetery of the Islamabad Society.
Bilawal, Shehbaz, Fawad condole Ziauddin’s demise
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry expressed their heart-felt grief over the demise of senior journalist Muhammad Ziauddin on Monday.
Bilawal said that late Ziauddin through the power of his pen fearlessly raised his voice for the rights of people. He said the ace journalist was an advocate of democracy. With his demise, the chapter of an impartial and responsible journalism came to an end in Pakistan, he said adding that it was not possible to fill the vacuum created by his death. His invaluable services to the field of journalism are unforgettable, he said. He prayed for his soul.

Shehbaz Sharif said in his tweet: “The demise of a senior journalist Ziauddin who was an ace writer and scholar is a big loss to journalism and society. He is regarded as a teacher in the field of journalism and was an institute in himself. Despite he used to stick to his principles, he was so polite and a decent person. His services for constitution, democracy and journalistic principles will be remembered for long.”
