Nepra has allowed to decrease the electricity prices by 32 paisa per unit under the head of monthly fuel adjustment, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority approved the 32 paisa decrease in the power rate under the head of fuel adjustment for the month of October. 

However, the new rate will not be applied to the life-line and K-Electric consumers. 

Nepra will release the detailed judgement later.

According to Nepra authorities, due to merit order violation, an extra burden to the tune of Rs300.36 million was added.
