Kim Kardashian reveals ‘low brain activity’ amid chronic stress linked to Kanye West fallout

Kim Kardashian has revealed the shocking results of a recent brain scan, sharing that doctors found “low brain activity” and an aneurysm that has been present “for years.”

The reality star opened up about the worrying medical findings in the latest episode of The Kardashians, where she met with celebrity brain health expert Dr Daniel Amen.

During the episode, the SKIMS founder, 45, disclosed that she had undergone a new scan after previously learning about the aneurysm through a Prenuvo full-body screening. The latest test raised further concerns.

Dr Amen informed her that her brain showed signs of “low activity,” including what he described as “holes,” indicating reduced function, particularly in the frontal lobes.

The news left Kardashian stunned and in disbelief. “That just can’t be. I’m not accepting,” she reacted immediately upon hearing the results.

Dr Amen attributed the reduced brain activity to chronic stress, something Kardashian admitted she has been battling while studying for the California Bar Exam and navigating the emotional aftermath of her 2022 divorce from rapper Kanye West.

“Just stress could cause it to rupture,” she added, recalling a conversation she had with renowned brain surgeon Dr. Keith Black, who warned her about the potential risks associated with the aneurysm.

Despite the alarming findings, Dr. Amen reassured her that she has no heightened risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease and noted that she does not appear “terribly stressed, anxious or depressed” based on imaging. He praised her for her positivity but maintained that reduced frontal lobe activity could make managing stress more difficult—especially as she continues preparing for her next bar exam attempt.

Kardashian recently revealed she failed the July 2025 California Bar Exam, admitting that her intense workload and personal pressures may have contributed. “I got to get on a plan to really figure this out because I have some s*** to do this summer,” she said, determined to move forward despite the emotional strain.

In a previous episode, the reality star told her sister Kourtney Kardashian about the long-standing aneurysm, explaining that doctors believe it has been present for years but only recently came to her attention.
