The Chinese Embassy has written a letter to the Interior Ministry seeking its permission to bring more security officials from China for providing fool-proof security to its ambassadors and envoys, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sources told 24NewsHD on Wednesday that the Embassy of China in Islamabad sought permission from the Interior Ministry to bring 10 more security officials from the People's Republic of China to provide fool-proof security to its diplomatic staff stationed in Pakistan.
The Interior Ministry has demanded a complete record of the relevant security officials including their names, posts and service profiles from the Chinese Embassy.
Sources divulged that these 10 security officials will be deployed for the security of the Chinese ambassador and Embassy’s building.
Some time back, the Chinese authorities requested the Interior Ministry to grant them NOC for bringing bullet-proof vehicles, James Bond cars, high profile wireless mobiles and other gadgets to provide better security to their staff in Pakistan.
According to sources, the Interior Ministry said it would take decision regarding the Chinese Embassy’s request keeping in view the government policy.
