A man in connivance with his brother and some relatives burned alive his wife on a dispute of a piece of land in Mailsi tehsil on Wednesday.

According to the 24News HD TV Channel, during the tragic incident, 10 other relatives present on the spot were also got burn injuries by the fire.

The accused threw petrol on the victim lady named Shehnaz, 40 years old, first and then set her on fire. The victim’s body was 80 percent burnt by the fire.

Local police rushed the woman and 10 other wounded men and women to the hospital in critical condition.

During the medical examination of the injured persons, a scuffle broke out between the police and the burnt people.

After the scuffle, the police arrested some of them but other relatives attacked the police van and succeeded to get their men released from the police custody.
