Kot Lakhpat Police claimed to have nailed a gang involved in extortion on Wednesday.
According to a press release, Investigation head Umer Daraz led a team and arrested the accused.
The lawmen also recovered arms and ammunition from the arrested. According to police, they have received complaints of extortion against the arrested. A case has been registered and the investigation is underway.
On April 19, the Investigation Police spokesperson stated the Kot Lakhpat investors arrested an alleged electricity pilferer and got praises from the high-ups. Similarly, a special squad under SI Umer Daraz busted an alleged gang wanted to police in street crimes and robberies on April 16.
