Two dacoits killed in Gojra ‘encounter’

Police in tehsil Gojra, district Toba Tek Singh on Sunday claimed to have shot dead two dacoits in an encounter, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Police said both Atiqur Rehman and Awais, who had spread terror in the entire tehsil, were nominated in dozens of cases of theft and robbery.
According to the Force, both outlaws were busy looting people on a road that the cops on routine patrolling spotted them and asked them to lay down their arms and surrender.
But they opened fire at the cops instead, prompting the latter to return the fire due to which both of them were killed on the spot, police said.
