FPSC recommends 26 officers for Planning Ministry posts

The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has recommended the appointment of 26 candidates for the posts of Research Officer, Planning Officer and Survey Officer (BS-17) in the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives under the Economist Group.

According to the FPSC, the recommendations have been made on the basis of open merit, provincial quota, women quota and non-Muslim quota, ensuring representation from across the country.

Candidates from Balochistan, Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and former FATA have been selected under different categories. Punjab has the highest number of recommended candidates under open merit and women quota.

The recommended candidates include: Karimullah, Hamza, Zartash Inayat, Muhammad Kashif, Noreen Sattar, Muhammad Yasin, Shaista Mumtaz, Adil Ikram Awan, Muhammad Irshad Khan, Zubair Tanveer, Syed Yazdan Ali Shah, Suleman Akram, Muhammad Ajmal Khan, Riaz Ahmed, Muhammad Hussam Shahid, Shafiq Ahmed Soomro, Muhammad Shahryar Butt, Haider Ali, Rizwan Afzal, Munir Ahmed, Anam, Barqa Farooq, Sarma Saeed, Saif Khalid Memon, Ayesha Noor and Akshay.

The FPSC stated that no suitable candidate could be recommended for one post reserved for the Sindh (Rural) women quota. It also noted that some candidates were disqualified due to low merit or failure in the interview process.

The recommendations have been forwarded to the Ministry of Planning for further processing and appointment formalities.
