Pakistan to defend its water at any cost, declares Bilawal
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that water is life and there was no room to weaponize water, adding that Indus was not just a river as it was a bread and butter for the people of Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Addressing a seminar on Indus Waters Treaty at Convention Centre in Islamabad on Tuesday, Bilawal Bhutto said Pakistan will defend its water at all cost.
PPP Chairman said Indus belonged to Pakistan as river cannot be diverted. He said that Pakistan has survived war on terrorism and it will survive this crisis as well.
Bilawal also urged Pakistan to improve its water conservation system in the country. He said we also must work on conservation of water on war footing.
Bilawal said that Pakistan successfully acted as negotiator during war in Middle East between Iran-Israel and US and the entire world has lauded Pakistan’s peace efforts.
He urged the world to focus on India’s water aggression against Pakistan. Bilawal said that Pakistan has followed international laws on Indus Water Treaty but unluckily Indian has not responded properly.
