Punjab CM reviews progress on ongoing Mass Transit projects

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired an important meeting of Transport and Mass Transit Department in Lahore on Tuesday and reviewed the progress on ongoing projects, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The meeting was briefed that the work on Mass Transit System in Faisalabad and Gujranwala is in full swing.

A detailed progress report was submitted in the meeting on Gujranwala and Faisalabad Mass Transit.

The meeting was briefed that 189 new electric buses are ready for soft launching in different districts. 

Maryam Nawaz hinted at online inauguration of the electric buses.

As many as 488 more buses will be sent to Punjab from a Chinese port on July 20.

Maryam Nawaz ordered to send electric bus for launches in Kot Addu, Talagang, Taunsa Sharif immediately.

The chief minister also ordered to run buses in Vehari and Lodhran as well.

She directed to increase the number of electric buses in Vehari, Lodhran and Nankana Sahib.

Maryam Nawaz said where there are less than 15 buses, at least 15 more buses should be sent. 

One more station on 19.5 km route of Gujranwala Mass Transit increased to 25.

Maryam Nawaz ordered to ensure safety measures during construction work.
