Hurdle in power plants invites PM ire

March 30, 2023 02:13 PM

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed anger at creating hurdlers in the second-largest nuclear power plants.

The prime minister inaugurated the power plants on February 2, but the transmission line has not been completed so far.

The power plants of 1100MW have become operational but the two companies have not signed a tripartite agreement yet.

The fuel cost for power generation from K-2 and K-3 is only Rs1.6 per unit.

The 500 kV Port Qasim to Mitiari transmission line for the power is delayed.

PM Shehbaz has asked the Secretary of the Power Division to meet authorities concerned to remove the obstacles.
