British Summer Time begins—clocks moved forward an hour

The United Kingdom officially began British Summer Time (BST) today, moving clocks forward by one hour, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday. 

According to the channel reprot, with this change, the time difference between the UK and Pakistan has been reduced to four hours.

The primary objective of BST is to maximise the use of daylight hours, providing longer evenings. This time adjustment helps conserve energy and makes better use of natural light during the warmer months.

British Summer Time will remain in effect until the last Sunday of October, when clocks will be set back again to standard time.
