Petrol, LPG go more expensive
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government made petrol and Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) more expensive by increasing the prices on Saturday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Imran Khan’s government Saturday issued a notification of increasing the price of petrol by Rs1.27 per litre and LPG by Rs9.58 per kilogram.
The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) issued the notification to increase the LPG price by Rs9.58 per kg for the next month.
While the federal finance ministry issued the notification of an increase in the price of petrol by Rs1.27 per litre that would be implemented from August 01, 2021.
After issuing the notification, the 11.8-kilogram domestic cylinder of the LPG had gone up by Rs113.07 per kg.
So now the LPG domestic cylinder would be available in Rs2002.07 against the old price of Rs1889.57.
A day ago, the Petroleum Division suggested the Prime Minister increase prices of petrol by Rs1.71 per litre and now on the recommendation of Imran Khan, the new price of petrol was notified.
