Rs9.7 million looted from cash van in Karachi

Armed men looted Rs9.7 million from a cash van in Korangi area of Karachi on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the police spokesman, the robbers fired at the van due to which two guards escorting the van were injured and were shifted to a hospital.
The eyewitnesses said that three to four dacoits, sitting in a car, looted the cash and fled.
On the other hand, SSP Korangi Tariq Nawaz told the media that the suspects were travelling in a Corolla car.
The SSP further said that the police were chasing the robbers.
“The police have fired at the Corolla car and will get the robbers soon,” he added.
