The Lahore High Court (LHC) took up PTI Chairman Imran Khan's plea against the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and issued a seven-page interim order,

According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the court of Justice Jawad Hasan barred the ECP from taking disciplinary action against PTI chief Imran Khan.

Imrna Khan moved the court yesterday pleading the ECP was exceeding its powers in the name of disciplinary proceedings.

The court sought lawyers' assistance on the constitutional points -  Can the Election Commission issue a declaration under Article 218? Does the word Declaration come under Articles 218 III and 219 to conduct and organize? Is the Election Commission empowered to issue a declaration in the act?

Separate notices are being given to the Attorney General and Advocate General for assistance.
