A youth — student at a local college — was shot dead by a rival amid a cricket match in Arifwala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

The deceased was a student at the local college and the rival had some grudge against him. 

The incident occurred when a brawl took place between the two groups during a cricket match at village 51/SB in Arifwala city.

The attacker opened fire and killed the youth. The body was shifted to THQ Arifwala.

Police reached the spot and launched further investigation into the matter.
