Two notorious dacoits killed in Phoolnagar police encounter

The Crime Control Department (CCD), in a major tactical operation, successfully took down two dangerous armed dacoits who were allegedly involved in multiple violent robberies in Phoolnagar and its surrounding areas, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Initial reports suggested that the confrontation took place at the Pattoki Bypass, where the dacoit gang was in the midst of attempting to commit another brazen robbery.

Upon encounter, the suspects opened fire on CCD members, which led to an intense and heavy exchange of gunfire.

Amid the chaos, two of the dacoits got struck and fatally shot by bullets fired by their own accomplices, which resulted in their death.

However, the rest of the gang members managed to flee the scene.

The dacoits killed in the encounter were later identified as Allah Ditta Odh, a dweller of Chuhang, Lahore, and Manzoor alias Jhoori Odh, a resident of Phoolnagar.

As per the reports, both of the dacoits were notorious criminals with extensive records, were linked to over 50 major crimes collectively in several districts of Kasur and Lahore.

Just days prior to this confrontation, the same gang carried out a series of high-stake robberies while targeting residential areas and farmhouses in Chah Dhabanwala and Baghiana Kalan.

The CCD Kasur has registered a formal case and constituted a specialized task force to track down the feeing gang members.

All necessary measures are being taken to ensure their swift apprehension and to maintain public safety. 

The operation drew widespread praise and appreciation from local citizenry, who commended the CCD team for their timely and decisive response.

The Director of Operations, CCD Kasur, in a statement, assured the public of the department’s continued commitment to safety and its tireless, 24-hour vigilance.
