A meeting of the steering committee of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) decided Sunday to observe May 6 as “Youm-e-Hurmat-e-Rasool”, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

The meeting was held on the issue of commotion in Masjid-e-Nabawi with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in the chair.

The meeting was virtually attended by the representatives of the PDM parties.

It was unanimously decided there will be protest gatherings across the country after Friday prayers on May 6 against the ruckus in Masjid-e-Nabawi.

The PDM parties will start preparations for the protest from Sunday (today).

The steering committee also gave a call of countrywide protest to the provincial and district leadership of the PDM.

It was also decided in the meeting to convene a PDM summit after Eid to discuss future political strategy.
