US Embassy in Pakistan has cancelled all appointments for visas and American Citizen Services, citing security concerns due to ongoing deadly protests across Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to a Embassy post uploaded on X platform on Monday, all appointments for US visas and American Citizen Services were canceled for today, March 2, at the US Embassy in Islamabad and the US Consulates General in Karachi and Lahore.

Demonstrations have erupted in major cities, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Skardu, following reports of US attacks targeting Iran’s Supreme Leader. Authorities have stepped up security and imposed restrictions to prevent further unrest.

Earlier, the US Embassy warned its personnel to limit movement and urged American citizens in Pakistan to stay alert, avoid large crowds, and update their registration with the Smart Traveller Enrollment Program.
