Section 144 imposed around matric exam centers in Karachi

The Karachi Commissioner has imposed Section 144 around all matriculation examination centers to prevent cheating and ensure the transparency of the examination process, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. 

According to the notification, gatherings within 200 yards of exam centers have been prohibited from April 7 to May 2, 2026. The unrelated persons were prohibited from entering exam centers while complete ban was imposed on use of mobile phones and electronic devices. The photocopy machines and display of weapons also banned. Police have been directed to take legal action against violators for violation of Section 144. 

Over 385,000 students to appear in 530 exam centres set up in Karachi. The strict security measures will be ensured for fair conduct of exams.
