Wanted star in spotlight: Ayesha Takia reacts as police book husband over Goa ruckus
Bollywood actress Ayesha Takia, who has been away from the limelight for some time, has made headlines after local police booked her husband, a businessman, in a case.
Goa police registered a case against Ayesha Takia’s husband over an alleged ruckus in the Candolim area following a rash driving incident Monday night.
The Wanted star claimed that a group of locals ‘brutally bullied and harassed’ her husband and son for hours.
"Locals cursed them for being from Maharashtra and having a big car. Farhan called the police for help, but instead, the authorities filed a complaint against him," she added.
According to Hindustan Times, Goa police also booked two locals in the case.
Reports suggest that Farhan had called the police and warned the locals to back off, stating that he had a licensed firearm for protection.
Ayesha Takia took to Instagram, stating: “It was a night of horror for our family until this morning… Just saw this post and need to share. I will share more in due time…
"My husband and son were brutally bullied and feared for their lives as local Goan goons mobbed, threatened, and tormented them for hours… They even badly roughed up the police who were called by my husband to protect our son and him.”

Ayesha Takia made her Bollywood debut in 2004 with the film Taarzan: The Wonder Car, which won her the Filmfare Best Debut Award.
She went on to star in films like Dor, where her performance received critical acclaim, Salaam-E-Ishq, Dil Maange More, and the 2009 action blockbuster Wanted alongside Salman Khan.
Though she stepped away from mainstream cinema in the 2010s, she remains a well-known name in the industry.
