Sindh begins preparations for Budget 2026–27, issues extended working hours schedule

Preparations for the Sindh Budget 2026–27 have officially begun, with the provincial Finance Department issuing revised and extended working hours for officials involved in the budget-making process.

According to the notification, the Finance Secretariat will operate from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturdays under the initial schedule.

In a separate directive issued to ensure timely finalization of budget documents, working hours have been further extended. Under the revised schedule, the Finance Secretariat will now remain open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on weekdays, while Saturday timings have been extended from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Officials said the enhanced working hours have been introduced to accelerate the completion of budget-related tasks and ensure smooth coordination during the final stages of preparations.

The Sindh Budget 2026–27 is scheduled to be finalized on May 18, 2026.

The official order was issued under the signature of Muhammad Afzal Memon, Section Officer of the Sindh Finance Department.
