Wahib Club wins junior crown, Muslim Health Club tops senior category at Punjab weightlifting event

Wahib Club won the junior title, and Muslim Health Club Shad Bagh topped the senior standings at the 4th Hafiz Salman Butt National Youth Muslim Health Club Championship, 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday. 

According to Pakistan Weightlifting Federation PRO Sohail Javed Butt, the event, organised by the Punjab Weightlifting Association, featured 82 lifters from 15 clubs. 

Wahib Club sealed the junior championship with 74 points, ahead of ART Club, which finished runner-up on 56 points. Wahib Club also claimed four gold medals and one silver.

In the senior category, Muslim Health Club Shad Bagh also posted 74 points to win the title, while Chaudhry Muhammad Amin Club Gujranwala finished second with 65 points.

Muslim Health Club won two gold and four bronze medals, while the Gujranwala side bagged three golds and one silver.

Officials later distributed medals, trophies, and certificates to the winning athletes, while Punjab Weightlifting Association President Jibran Bin Salman awarded a special commemorative shield to federation PRO Sohail Javed Butt for four decades of voluntary service to weightlifting.
