Major reshuffle in federal bureaucracy
In a major reshuffle in the federal bureaucracy, the government has issued transfer and posting orders of senior civil servants in Islamabad on Wednesday, 24NewsHD TV reported.
According to a notification issued by the Establishment Division, senior bureaucrat Hamid Yaqoob Sheikh, a Grade-22 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, has been transferred from his position as Secretary of the Housing and Works Division and appointed as the new Secretary of the National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Division.
In addition to his new assignment, Sheikh has also been given the additional charge of the Housing and Works Division for three months, or until a permanent secretary is appointed.
In another major appointment, Shoaib Javed Hussain has been named as the new CEO of the State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan.
Likewise, Majid Mohsin Panhwar, a Grade-20 officer of the PAS, has been transferred and posted as Joint Secretary in the Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division.
Muhammad Jawad Ishaq, a Grade-18 officer of the Police Service, has been transferred from the KP and posted to the National Police Academy in Islamabad.
