The citizens were facing enormous difficulties in making payments following a cyberattack on the Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) online system by foreign hackers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

It was revealed that the cyberattack has damaged the data regarding bills, taxes payment and revenue.

The development has automatically caused a sharp reduction in the CDA’s revenue.
However, the Authority has asked citizens to make their payments without any fine within a month.
The CDA’s technical team has so far failed to completely recover the day during the last 10 days. Though through hectic efforts they could only manage to retrieve 80 percent of the lost data.

CDA officials claimed that the online portal for payments will be restored during the ongoing month after fully recovering the data.
