Samar Jafri’s throwback clip with Ali Zafar trends online
Social media is abuzz after an old clip of rising star Samar Jafri resurfaced online, showing him in the background of an Ali Zafar music video.
The three-year-old footage, shared by entertainment portal Lollywood Galaxy, features Jafri dancing in the background while Zafar performs.

A comment read: “Shahid Kapoor had the same story,” comparing Jafri’s journey to the Bollywood actor who also rose to stardom with background roles.

Samar Jafri began his journey in the entertainment world as a child artist. He appeared in commercials for well-known brands like Tiger Biscuits, Rooh Afza, Horlicks, and Saniplast
His television debut came in the 2014 telefilm Hina Dilpazir Ki Gudgudee (also referenced as Gudguddi).
Samar's breakthrough came when he landed the lead role of Fakhir Zaheer in the 2023 drama Mayi Ri, opposite Aina Asif.
Samar made his cinematic debut in the 2024 comedy Na Baligh Afraad, directed by Nabeel Qureshi.
He has reunited with Aina Asif for the hit play Parwarish in which his role as Wali Jahangir earned widespread praise.
He has released several music tracks like Meri Ho, Main Rahun, and Guzaarishein, and the latter two featured as soundtracks for Parwarish.
