Arrest warrants issued for 551 PTI workers in 26 Nov protest case
PTI Secretary General Salman Raja claims 26th Amendment has severely damaged the country's judicial system
Hearing of 26 Nov protest case against PTI leaders and workers was conducted by Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Tahir Abbas Supra and ATC judge issued arrest warrants of 551 PTI workers nominated in Kohsar Police Station limits who failed to appear before the court regularly.
The Court directed SP to execute warrant If he does not execute warrant, then he should appear in court and explain himself. Later ATC Judge Tahir Abbas adjourned the hearings of cases 933 and 1032 till October 14.
The prosecution witnesses have been summoned again for the next hearing of the court. Sardar Masroof Khan Advocate appeared in court on behalf of PTI workers. Cases have been registered against PTI workers under terrorism provisions.
PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has said that he held detailed meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan yesterday. He said that today the Supreme Court heard petitions regarding the 26th Amendment. He said 26th Constitutional Amendment has severely damaged the country's judicial system. The amendment has changed the very spirit and basic structure of the judiciary.
Salman Raja said nation saw that Islamabad High Court was attacked, Justice Jahangiri was attacked. He said PTI will continue to raise the voice against propaganda. He said entire nation will see this case.
