LESCO's demand notice fee for single-phase meters increased

The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) decided to increase the demand notice fee for single-phase meters from Rs13,786 after getting the approval from the authorities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Earlier in June 2025, the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) revised its policy for large commercial and industrial consumers, particularly those acquiring new connections or shifting to solar systems, 24NewsHD TV reported on Thursday.
According to a notification issued by the LESCO Director of Customer Services, Abbas Ali, the company has decided to install only one Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) smart meter instead of two.
This means that for new connections and solar users, the installation of a backup meter is no longer mandatory. However, LESCO has also provided customers with the option to install both billing and backup meters if they wish.
