Teen girl outshines in Swabi Water Cross Jeep Race

A large number of onlookers thronged at the Indus River as the Frontier 4X4 Water Cross Jeep Race was held on Sunday at Hund point near Swabi Interchange on the M-1 Motorway, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A 15-year-old girl Ayesha got the first position in the race while the second position was also clinched by a woman. A 13-year-old boy won two trophies in the race.
At least 61 different vehicle drivers including women from across the country participated in the race that was organized by the Youth Affairs of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (PK) the Frontier 4x4 Club and the district government jointly on the rocky and dangerous paths of the Indus river at Hund point.
In the dangerous jeep race, four women, including a 15-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy also took part. The drivers showed their skills, some got stuck in the middle and some reached the desired point in the least time.
The spectators including men, women, youth, and children enjoyed the game of force and power of 4-wheelers and the plucky drivers crossing the mighty Indus River.
The activity is aimed at providing entertainment to the locals and highlighting the potential of tourism in KP. A craggy track of 17 km was formed over the waters of the Indus for the jeep racers.
The show was sensational but ferocious too as drivers pulled over their vehicles to the banks of the Indus and started off after putting them into the flowing water.
Swabi Deputy Commissioner Nasrullah Khan was the chief guest of this event, while Mardan DIG, Swabi DPO and Lahore AC were prominent among the guests. They were very happy with the festivity.
Later, a prize distribution ceremony was held.
