‘Missing person’ terrorist commander shot dead in Khyber action
ISPR says a soldier was also martyred in intel-based operation

A terrorist commander, also propagated as a ‘missing person’, was killed in an operation by the security forces in Khyber District, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to an ISPR statement released on Tuesday, security forces personnel conducted a joint intelligence-based operation in general area Shakas of Khyber District.
During the conduct of the operation, intense fire exchange took place between the security men and terrorists. “Own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location; resultantly, Liaquat Ali alias Shaheen, an important terrorist commander, was killed. The killed terrorist was also propagated as a ‘missing person’.
During the operation, a large number of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the slain terrorist.
The killed terrorist remained actively involved in terrorist activities against the security forces, target killings and extortion, the ISPR statement said.
However, during intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Saleem Khan (age 28 years, resident of Topi/Swabi) having fought gallantly, embraced shahadat. Sanitization of the area was being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
