Pakistan beat South Africa to reach Hong Kong Super Sixes semifinals
India suffer triple defeat against Kuwait, UAE and Nepal in group stage
Pakistan advanced to the semifinals of the Hong Kong Super Sixes after defeating South Africa in the quarterfinal match on Saturday, 24NewsHD TV reported.
Batting first, South Africa posted 102 runs for the loss of three wickets.
Bob Samson scored 26 runs, while Conan Gam added 29 runs.
From Pakistan’s side, Mohammad Shehzad was the pick of the bowlers, claiming three wickets.
In reply, Pakistan chased down the 103-run target for the loss of just one wicket.
Abdul Samad played a blistering innings, smashing 50 runs off just 10 balls, including eight sixes, while Khawaja Nafeh contributed 36 runs.

Meanwhile, India endured a disappointing run in the tournament, facing consecutive defeats at the hands of Kuwait, the UAE, and Nepal.
In a Pool C match, Kuwait set a target of 107 runs after scoring 106 for 5 in six overs. The Indian side was bowled out for 79 runs in 5.4 overs, but advanced to the next stage due to a better run rate.
However, the UAE later defeated India by chasing down a 108-run target in just 5.5 overs with two wickets down. In the following game, Nepal produced a dominant display, posting 137 runs without loss in six overs.
In response, India collapsed to just 45 runs, handing Nepal a resounding 92-run victory.
