Armed Forces pay tribute to Sowar Muhammad Hussain Shaheed on his 54th martyrdom anniversary

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff & Chief of Defence Forces; Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff; and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of Air Staff, on behalf of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, have paid rich tribute to Sowar Muhammad Hussain Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, on his 54th martyrdom anniversary.

The Armed Forces observed the day with profound respect, remembering the extraordinary courage and devotion displayed by Sowar Muhammad Hussain Shaheed during the 1971 war in the Zafarwal–Shakargarh Sector. He valiantly identified advancing enemy armour and directed the fire of recoilless rifles with exceptional accuracy, destroying several enemy tanks.

Amid this heroic resistance, he embraced shahadat after being hit by enemy fire, leaving behind a legacy of unmatched bravery, duty, and patriotism.

Sowar Muhammad Hussain Shaheed’s sacrifice remains a timeless symbol of the Armed Forces’ unwavering commitment to defending the nation’s sovereignty. His courage continues to inspire generations of soldiers who stand resolute in safeguarding Pakistan.
